Computer Animation

I produced these computer animations in ARCH 5420 Computer Animation during the Summer 2021 semester. My creations are inspired by my inner tension between a childlike wonder and imagination and the pragmatism of adulthood responsibility. The first two videos replicate the nostalgia of retro video games and its escape from reality – a sense of adventure and freedom. The last one, in contrast, takes a darker tone by exploring the pathophysiology of disease and the mortality of the human body and its limitations.

Digital Mapping

The collection of maps were produced in ARCH 5717 Mapping as Critical Practice during the Fall 2020 semester. The sequence of maps examines various variables while also increasing in geographic scale (e.g., New York City boroughs, Seattle, and the Philippines). The final project required digital maps to guide the narrative, and I chose to use what I learned to visually communicate the history of Filipino nurses in the United States.
